After a courageous battle with cancer, our Pastor, Gary peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday 13th<\/sup> March 2025.<\/p>\n

Though Gary only joined us in November 2022, his impact on our church family was profound and immediate. His love, and faith in the Lord was evident in every sermon and interaction. He has touched each of our lives and we are deeply saddened by this loss. We find comfort in knowing that Gary is now resting in the arms of our Saviour.<\/p>\n

Gary served as a minister for 33 years, giving over half of his earthly life to that calling and we know his passing will also be deeply felt by the Baptist Churches of East Kilbride and York.<\/p>\n

Our Church is made up of all kinds of ordinary people. They are all different but have in common a real experience of Jesus and His love.  Come and meet us on Sunday mornings at 10.30am!  We usually have a cuppa after service too so come along and say hello!  We look forward to meeting you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We meet every Sunday morning, there is always someone on the door to meet and greet you, to answer any questions and to make you feel welcome.  The services usually include a mix of traditional and more contemporary songs, a time for prayer, a reading or two from the Bible and a message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is opportunity for children to leave the morning service and join the JIGSAW group where there is a special message delivered just for the children and the chance to do a craft.  The JIGSAW leaders will guide the children to their various classes usually during the second hymn\/song. There are also toys in the foyer to entertain the smallest children during the sermon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our other activities are – 5th Billingham Rainbows, Brownies & Guides on a Tuesday, Line Dancing on Tues & Thursday mornings at 10am, Men’s and Women’s Bible Study Groups and our Bible Study Group on Thursdays at 7pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also have the following groups –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BBC Ladies\u2019 MOT (Moving On Together) Group<\/strong><\/div>\n
A group for ladies who have lost their husbands. If you are a widow and would like to join us or know a lady who might be interested to join us at the front of the church.  <\/span>Come along and have a cuppa & chat with other ladies who have gone through similar circumstances.  <\/span>If you would like more information or the date of the next meeting, please email us at churchsecretary.bbc@gmail.com<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
Men’s Group<\/strong><\/div>\n
The men meet every Wednesday afternoon between 2pm & 5pm to play pool, table tennis and to chat together.  Occasionally they have trips out.  All men welcome.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
